Dr. Weatherhead offers a sympathetic and nonjudgmental look at the barriers that keep people from Jesus Christ. He discusses the reasons Christians must heed the concerns and objections of "Christian agnostics" by affirming the certainties of the Christian faith while disavowing the "load of the theological lumber which weighs much official teaching." Traditionalists may be shocked, but Christians-in-the-making - people who are looking for a sensitive and respectful discussion of their concerns - will applaud Dr. Weatherhead's strong and liberating stand.
