Out of the Woods is the first solo album from Tracey Thorn for over two decades and is of course released in March: here's a classic she made earlier. Tracey Thorn is one half of Everything But the Girl. A Distant Shore is Tracey's only solo album and is classy, simple melodic tunes with just vocals and a guitar. The album reached number one in the Indie chart in 1983. 'A Distant Shore' is now being re-issued with a new booklet, and with the surge in popularity of Everything But the Girl with the international hit single 'Missing', interest in Tracey's solo recordings has never been higher.
