In an ancient manuscript written hundreds of years ago lie the answers to all of history's questions.... Now, a scholar (Thomas Gibson) has come to seek the truth and save the world. His epic adventure begins by a 'chance' meeting with Kwan Ying (Bai Ling), a beautiful goddess who takes him on a mission to rescue the manuscript--or face the world's end. In Nick's attempt to save the world, he must first free the powerful Monkey King (Russell Wong), a god who has been trapped for 500 years. Together they battle against an army of demons and other creations of evil. Nick must fight to save the world, rescue the manuscript, and learn the way of the noble warrior.
