The MSD coil wire retainer holds the boot securely in the coil. The lower portion of the retainer snaps around the body of the coil under the flange and is held in place with a nylon tie wrap. The MSD coil wire retainer fits most of the MSD blaster coils (except the blaster 3) and most aftermarket canister type coils.
