The Clone Commander is outfitted with modified armor including shoulder pauldrons and a kama, and is equipped with a heavy rifle. Clone Troopers Commanders were imbued with most of their leadership qualities at the cloning facility on Kamino; generally the commanders were granted a greater degree of tactical acumen and a wider range of autonomy. Clone Trooper Commanders are listed as having led regiments of 2,304 Clone Troopers into battle. In some cases, Clone Commanders were recalled and reconfigured into Advanced Recon Commandos. The base appearance and color markings of the standard Clone Trooper Commander were then customized to include items such as kamas and pauldrons.
