This quality Adze is drop forged from high grade carbon steel. Hardened and tempered for maximum strength. Paint coated in black for rust prevention. Blade is approximately 3-1/4" wide by 5" long. The adze head weighs approximately 14oz. Perfect for close quartered weeding, seeding and bedding preparation. It has a hardened and semi sharpened blade that can cut through tree roots and loosen hard soil. The Slip-on type Eye hole makes assembly and storage a breeze. Complete with 16" American Made Hickory Wood Handle. Please note that the head and handle will come unassembled. Please also note that this is NOT a woodworking Adze even though it has the strength and capacity to cut through green roots. This adze is not razor sharp! For re-sharpening, use hand file only!
