Product Review
Considered one of the prime blues of Hydrangea, 'Nikko Blue' is a supreme performer in any landscape. It has large, round flower heads that are a bold blue. The flowers bloom in late spring, over a rounded canopy of dense foliage. The leaves are large, oval-shaped and often taper to a point. In order to keep the blooms a true blue, you will want to add aluminum sulfate to the soil periodically. As with most hydrangeas limestone and other ph affecting minerals will turn the blooms pink.
