The most colorful of all bicolors! 'Howell's Dwarf Tigertail Spruce' is the most colorful of all the bicolors it has a unique color combination with bright silver-blue on the undersides of the needles and green on top. It is an attractive Hardy dwarf conifer that forms a mound, which can be kept this way by pruning upward growing shoots. If the central leader is left alone, a pyramidal tree will eventually form. An especially attractive feature of this tree is the reddish-purple cones that appear on trees in the spring.
