People say that being happy doesn’t mean everything is perfect, it just means that you decided to look beyond the imperfections. Whoever said that probably never met my husband’s ex, because I don’t know if I could have accepted these simple “imperfections” in the beginning. That’s why I’m writing this book: dealing with all the sleepless nights, frustration over the helplessness of dealing with my husband’s ex, and the challenges that we went through in our marriage and in our stepfamily when his ex has interfered, has sometimes felt like a battle royal. But throughout the years, I have learned not only how to handle his ex, but how to find my own happiness within my family. Using these strategies, I have already helped many other women find success and joy in their stepfamilies, and I hope to give even more women out there in my situation a competitive edge.
