Wild Coffee is different than coffee you are used to. It is what we call "High-Performance Coffee." It is roasted in small batches locally in Austin, TX. Once roasted, it is provided for sale immediately. Stock is never kept for long, and we regularly sell out because of this. But instead of roasting too much coffee and invariably having extra sit around, we'd rather run out knowing it is always fresh!Â
Wild Coffee is always organic, fair trade, single-origin and 100% premium Grade "1" arabica beans from high-altitude climates. These qualities are of paramount importance in the quality of the final product. Of course, these attributes result in a more expensive product. To us, though, bad coffee is just not acceptable. And so: we will never skimp on quality in favor of profit! Wild Coffee is, and always will be, one of the most premium high-performance coffees in the world!
The Peru bean was meticulously chosen out of a handful of other high-quality--yet not up to snuff--beans. Our tasting rounds brought on plenty formidable contenders that all put up a great fight that made our decision more difficult, but it was the perfectly balanced bean we are now calling Peru Light (which has a slightly more medium roast because this draws out the best qualities of the bean) that kept pulling through to take the title.
