This is very light conditioner but it can be used on its own for fine and thin hair. Thicker, normal, or dry hair have different needs. As a product, leave-in conditioner was created to be used after shampoo and regular conditioner by most hair types. Because it stays on the hair, it provides different benefits but does not weigh the hair down. If you are looking for a heavier leave-in, you might want to research cream leave-in conditioners.
