Cormaic knows his future lies in the past with Jule, and he would fight to the bloody end to protect her. He does not fear Robb’s love for Jule or the threat of those who want to use the Blooded McLachlan. Cormaic can easily dispatch those flesh and blood obstacles.
Yet soon he realizes his sword is useless against the ghosts that haunt Jule – and that they both must find a way to battle their demons if they ever hope to find peace.
