How do i know if the batteries are discharging or if they are charging?

As long as the charger is plugged in and batteries are inside, the batteries are being charged. When the batteries are fully charged, the charge level drops or slows. However, it is fully indicated on the LED display whether the batteries are on charge or discharge.
