Our rings are thin by design and classified as low profile. This makes them less likely to snag and ensures they will shear if needed. In the event one does shear, there is a good chance a traditional ring would have injured a finger in that scenario. We have customers who've told us how this ring saved their finger! If you buy this ring, you or your loved one's finger will thank you! We tried out several designs before settling on this one (to include the thicker, more rigid silicone styles). We ultimately chose this ring because of comfort and the fact you literally cannot tell you are wearing it 99% of the time!
