ABOUT YOUR NEW ORGANIC KALE SEEDS

The Seedz Vates Kale produce a dwarf curly kale with dark green leaves. An excellent baby leaf variety and a favorite for late season salad mixes or overwintering with good resistance to yellowing in both cold and heat.

WHEN TO PLANT

For best results, direct-sow after last hard frost or start transplants at 70-90°F 4-6 weeks before planting date.

GROW PATTERNS AND TIMING

Sow ¼ - ½" deep, 60 seeds per foot with about 18-30" between rows. Vates Kale seeds can be expected to germinate within 5-10 days. Plan 30 days to baby leaf, 55 days to full maturity.

HOW TO USE YOUR HEIRLOOM KALE SEEDS

Once fully grown and harvested, Vates Kale is perfect for late season salad mixes. It's also delicious slightly wilted with pasta and can even be added to juice recipes for a punch of good nutrition!
