Many young soldiers were sent to Afghanistan under Operation Enduring Freedom. Afghan Soldier follows one of these young soldiers on a tour of duty in Afghanistan. This young American hero had to face death and destruction daily, whilst fighting a battle hardened enemy intent of killing and maiming as many coalition soldiers as they could. This at times harrowing tale shows the effects of war on these young men and what they went through to try to bring peace to a troubled country. Afghanistan was a harsh and hostile environment to have fought against a tenacious enemy. From the heights of the Afghan mountains to the lush green landscape of Helmand, danger was never far away for these young heroes.
