Product Review
Apatite is one of few common phosphate minerals. While apatite is often found as an accessory mineral in igneous rocks, it can also be found as concretions or detrital clasts in sedimentary rocks. With a standard Mohs hardness of 5, and a relatively uncommon crystal habit, this mineral is perfect for geology classrooms and mineralogy labs. Each sample is approximately 1" in length and comes in a labeled bag.
