When Chika Takami, a second-year student at Uranohoshi Girl's High School, visits Tokyo with her best friend You Watanabe, she discovers a school idol group called µ's—pronounced "Muse." Star-struck by these sparkly idols, she wants to shine as much as they do, and begins looking for members to join her very own School Idol Club. But finding new members proves to be challenging, especially when Dia Kurosawa, president of the student council, opposes her ideas. When prospects seem bleak and Chika can't quite figure out what to do, a miracle suddenly appears, and her dreams seem brighter than ever. As long as these girls don't give up, they can be their best shiny selves!
