Another great installment of the series which helped broaden the scale and continued the fun '80s style of horror and comedy - as well as a coming of age tale. MBB was great once again, as was Harbour especially, not to take anything away from the rest of the cast which were all great. However, Will finally got a good dose of screentime and to great effect as Schnapp provided an excellent physical performance. Max was a fine addition - her brother not so much - and I really liked Bob despite his limited development and his parts in episode 8 were especially intense. Episode 7 I didn't find to be that bad, it was weaker than the rest but I liked where it took Eleven. The finale was great and although it didn't pack as much of a punch as the first season's was still very satisfying.

- Set in Hawkins in the fall of 1984, the story continues as supernatural forces once again begin to affect the town. While the season services the first season's core cast and characters first and foremost, several new characters are introduced: tomboy Max and her older step-brother Billy, a girl named Kali connected to Hawkins Lab, RadioShack manager Bob Newby, Department of Energy agent Dr. Owens and disgraced journalist-turned-conspiracy theorist Murray Bauman.
- Similar to the previous season, Season 2 was lauded by critics and audiences alike and was praised for being much more horror-oriented.
- Stranger Things' slow-building sophomore season balances moments of humor and a nostalgic sweetness against a growing horror that's all the more effective thanks to the show's full-bodied characters and evocative tone.
