The major goals for this Second Edition were: 1) the introduction of solid-state technology and design 2) uniform use of S1 (metric) units throughout, and 3) increased use of analytical design techniques to reflect the greater sophistication of today's electronics designers. This is yet another step in the consolidation of professional knowledge.
