The second in a new 3-book skills-based series and perfectly aligned with DJ Henry€s The Effective Reader, Effective Vocabulary builds a college-level vocabulary to prepare students for studies within academic the various disciplines through the use of textbook excerpts.  Students are given plenty of exercises requiring exploration through context clues, word analysis, proper usage, and application. To help visual learners use images to develop their college vocabularies, photographs and drawings are accompanied by captions for students to complete as a quick test of vocabulary development and reading comprehension.
