Leslie Hopkins's heart goes out to Cory Gallagher, a six-year-old boy who lost his mother over a year ago. She delights in her new job as his nanny and is ecstatic when the boy starts to warm up to her. She hurts only when she thinks of what brought her to Grand Teton National Park to care for the ranger's son. Chief Ranger Pierce Gallagher is awestruck by Leslie. She seems to know instinctively what Cory needs to thrive - and what Pierce wants from a woman. He feels so close to her - but why is such a talented, intelligent and beautiful woman interested in a job that is so isolating? Is she hiding from something? Or someone?
