Dr. Klug has mined the voluminous writings of Luther to clarify Luther's understanding of church and ministry and has shown that, centuries later, Luther's views have shaped specific church bodies such as The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod and particularly its leading founder, C. F. W. Walther. It is divided in three parts, the church, the ministry, and an understanding of church and ministry.
