The entire "Mash Goes To..." series was lots of fun but made of cotton candy, i.e. no substance whatsoever. Richard Hooker, who wrote the original MASH novel from which came the film and the TV series, had virtually nothing to do with these books and hated the TV series. He cried all the way to the bank.
