This pedagogically sound guide to the essential major and minor scales provides scale exercises needed to prepare students for the technical challenges found in intermediate repertoire. Scales are presented as quarter notes in one octave, eighth notes in two octaves, triplets in three octaves, and sixteenth notes in four octaves.
