This book describes brilliantly the struggles of the early saints and the beginnings of their journey to find freedom of religion and from persecution. Lund uses fictional characters to bring you in close to the story of the restoration and the saints first big move and gathering to Kirtland. Very cleverly written and highly recommended to anyone looking to better understand the lives of the early saints and their trials.
