Lipidology, a Primer, is a gem among medical texts. Despite being packed with solid medical information, it is so clearly written and cleanly edited that it easy to read and understand. The text is aimed at all primary care providers and those who need a foothold to better understand the increasingly complex lipid biology and management. The book was a collaborative effort of two board certified lipidologists who both run lipid-specialty clinics, one a leading international lipid expert and the other an excellent writer. Everyone who reads this text will almost immediately improve their lipid diagnostic skills and management, and start to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease-a goal we can all support. But first, you have to buy and read this book.
