Jimmy Van Heusen, the composer of such hits as Swinging on a Star, All the Way, Moonlight Becomes You, Love and Marriage, Come Fly With me, and High Hopes, winner of an Emmy and four Academy Awards, was content to let his music speak for itself as he travelled through the rareified air of the golden age of American popular music. While his legacy is inextricably linked with that of his best friend Frank Sinatra, Van Heusen was much more than a satellite in the Crosby/Sinatra firmament. Van Heusen is the last associate of the Rat Pack to have his story told. It is long overdue, but well worth the wait.
