This book is designed to speak to each side of the brain. Most of the left pages are full page reproductions of Maria's Zentangle-inspired paintings interspersed with tiles by Maria and Rick (for the right side of the brain). Most of the right pages are words (for the left side of the brain). This is not a "how-to" book, rather it is a visual gem of Zentangle art and narrative that tells the story behind the Zentangle Method through the voice of its founders, Rick and Maria. The book includes an in depth description of Zentangle origins and describes the method in detail. It covers characteristics and philosophies of a Zentangle practice, as well as testimonials, an extensive glossary, playful notes by Rick and Maria about the images, and an extensive bibliography and index.
