This book is divided into two sections. The first focuses on a series of creative art activities entitled "Let's Create a Picture!" These activities involve sensory stimulation to create using mental imagery in a series of poems. The latter section deals with selected creative art activities that may be presented to children of different age levels.

It should be noted, however, that the basic elements of artistic expression, along with the foundational principles of good design, should be used with each activity.

The author has taken care to consider the developmentally appropriate practice for children, along with the need for even the classroom teacher to be exposed to this approach-creative art activities through the integration of art, literature, and music.
