On 2 October the 3rd Platoon A/1/32 10th Mountain Division is sent to Dokalbot Village in the southern Korengal Valley to try to open up good relations with the local elders there. Told by the Korenagli's that they were not wanted, the platoon turned back for the KOP (Korengal Outpost) but was immediately ambush. "Hell is the Korengal" shows one very bad day in the lives of the soldiers of A/1/32 in 2006 in the infamous Korengal Valley.
