Easy Songs for Shifting in the First Five Positions introduces violinists to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions -- all while taking the monotony out of learning. All the melodies included in this book are catchy and easily memorized, utilizing repetition as the method of teaching each shift. In the beginning of each new position, fingerings are provided, but are gradually dropped as the student is expected to learn them. Great for both group classes and private instruction, this will be sought after by all violin teachers.
