There can be no question that the New Testament is the most important book - or collection of books - in the history of Western civilization; it is by far the "bestseller" of all time, since the invention of printing. But many people today do not know a lot about the New Testament, including such basic facts as what books it contains, when they were written, by whom, when, and for what purpose; how the books were copied and transmitted down through the ages; and when and why they came to be collected together into a canon of Scripture. This course is designed to answer these basic questions about the New Testament.
