This lovely little book contains 16 beautifully designed and made shoes for both baby boys and girls, modelled on grown-up shoe styles. Each design is accompanied by a lovely, styled photograph of the shoe with the adult equivalent in the background, and step-by-step instructions of how to make the shoe.

There is a crochet basics section at the beginning with step-by-step instructions on commonly used crochet stitches, colour changing techniques, joining techniques and basic crochet charts for sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-9 months.

 The designs themselves are based on adult shoes such as trainers, ballet shoes, pumps, espadrilles, Mary Janes, cowboy boots and strappy sandals and the patterns are clear and easy to follow. The designs are simple enough for competent beginners, though attractive and interesting enough to inspire more advanced crocheters. They are perfect projects to make with oddments of yarn, very quick to crochet and make great gifts for new babies.
