Ronni is a 21st-century American teenager who has lost her faith following the deaths of her brother and father. They died saving the life of someone she does not deem worthy, and she doubts the concept of sacrifice. Â "Nothing's worth dying for," she declares, even Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross.
When Ronni takes ill, she awakens in 1st-century Jerusalem, two days before the crucifixion. Realizing that she knows what is going to happen to Jesus when no one else does, she goes about trying to stop the crucifixion. The questions are: Can she do it? Â Should she?
