When I am king, they shall not have bread and shelter only, but also teachings out of books; for a full belly is little worth where the mind is starved.

It's a Renaissance switcheroo!

A poor young lad named Tom Canty encounters Edward, Prince of Wales, outside the palace gates. But it's no passing encounter. Bewildered by what they saw, the two discover their appearances are identical. Without pause, the young beggar and young prince decide to exchange clothes and places. The prince, now a beggar, and the beggar, now a prince, begin to discover life at the opposite ends of 16th century English society.
