Of the many hundreds of recorded performances of Beethoven's great Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61, this 1962 recording of Wolfgang Schneiderhan on violin, and with Eugen Jochum conducting Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, continues to sound great and is one of the few that have consistently been at the top of critics recommendations for many years.
