Carle played for many years under leader Mal Hallett, adding his piano to the work of Jack Teagarden, Toots Mondello, Jack Jenny, Spud Murphy & others. He finally put his own band together & hit on a winning formula that enabled him to eke out a living well into the '50s, mixing pop hits of the day with old faves - this album reflects that formula.
