Ex-cop Joanne Kilbourn (Wendy Crewson) finally tackles her husband Ian's murder, the unsolved case that still haunts her, in this adaptation of the novel by Gail Bowen. After six years, Joanne's former partner, Inspector Philip Millard (Victor Garber), finally arrests jobless Kevin Tarpley (Christopher Bolton), who was known to have been in the vicinity but given a now discredited alibi. Shocked that Philip hadn't told her everything, Jo believes that Kevin is protecting someone, and after he is shot while in police custody, Kevin's widow, Maureen Gault (Kari Matchett), warns her not to dig too deeply. But as the evidence - and the bodies begin to pile up, Jo suspects a high conspiracy in this taut thriller.
