Clifford wasn't always the Big Red Dog. In the tradition of Muppet Babies, Baby Looney Tunes, and The Flintstones Kids, this delightful spin-off series recalls Clifford when he was the irresistible runt of the litter who caught Emily Elizabeth's eye and captured her heart. Clifford the puppy is friskier than his full-grown incarnation, but just as friendly and loving. This inaugural volume contains the series' first four stories. In "Keeping Cool," Emily Elizabeth's babysitter learns to be himself after trying desperately to impress a new girl in the building. In "Socks and Snooze," Clifford will not quit until he finds Emily Elizabeth's lucky socks for the first day of school. In "The Monster in 3B," Clifford and company are suspicious about their new neighbors, until they actually meet them and see how friendly they are. In "Cat-astrophe," felines Flo and Zo are rude and inconsiderate weekend guests. Henry Winkler playfully voices Norville the bird.
