“The Jack Benny Show”, which aired from 1950 through 1965, was Jack Benny’s two-decade radio program brought to television. As great as his radio program was, his television show was even better. We were now able to see Jack’s exasperated “Well”, see his face and his hand to his cheek and the pained look of disbelief when confronted with life’s little tragedies. Adding to the greatness of the show were his two regulars, Eddie “Rochester” Anderson as his valet and Don Wilson as his announcer and friend. Appearing on a more regular basis were Dennis Day, Artie Auerbach, Frank Nelson, Mary Livingstone (Mrs. Benny), Dale White, and Mel Blanc, all veterans from the radio show. This 2-DVD set showcases one of the great comedic personalities of all time, Jack Benny.
