OscarÂ(r) nominees* Mary Tyler Moore (Ordinary People) and Christine Lahti ("ChicagoHope") give "virtuoso performances" (Ms.) as newfound friends in this compelling tale that "makes you laugh, cry and works you over emotionally" (Orange Coast) through to its gripping and heartfelt end.
