Checkerboard layer cakes sure look fancy but they're surprisingly easy to make with this unique cake pan set by Norpro. The kit includes three 9 inch pans and one 3 ring batter divider, which is used to separate the vanilla and chocolate batter while pouring. Once you've baked the cakes achieving the checkerboard effect is simple: just stack the baked layers so the colors alternate, then frost. Hand washing recommended.
