Beefsteak tomatoes will never go out of style in the tomato connoisseur's garden. This old favorite is the HUGE variety to grow if you want big, meaty, thick, tasty tomatoes that make thick slices for sandwiches. The fruits, sometimes reaching two pounds are excellent for stuffing or for any dish that requires a lot of tomatoes with rich tomato flavor. The vines are so vigorous, that we recommend a sturdy wire cage to hold them up along with their hefty tomatoes. An indeterminate type, they will keep producing until the first fall frost.
