Brilliant, likable high school outcast Alvin Johnson makes a deal with the most popular girl, Paris Morgan, when she wrecks her mother's car: Alvin will secretly fix her mother's car if Paris agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend. Paris reluctantly agrees. After she gives Alvin a much-needed makeover, he begins to behave differently, becoming an insensitive jerk like all the other guys. Can Alvin rein in his newfound ego before he loses his true friends, an opportunity for a scholarship ... and a chance for a real relationship with Paris?
