With ties to computer games and merchandising, the Megaman (Rock Man in Japan) franchise has been around since 1987; "NT Warrior" is the fourth animated version. In the year 200X, Lan and his friends Dex, Maylou, and Yai fight their cyber-warriors in Net Battles. The criminal syndicate World 3 launches viruses to attack the Web, but Lan and his cyber buddy MegaMan foil their plots. An attempt to sabotage the traffic control system leaves Yai stuck in need of a bathroom until Lan and MegaMan come to her rescue. They also save a runaway subway train from destruction. The frantic vocal performances can't hide the pixel-thinness of the characters or the formulaic storylines. Megaman: NT Warrior plays like a cross between Reboot! and Beyblade, with lots of repeated animation, both drawn and CG.
