Rainbow Quest was a TV series hosted by Pete Seeger and filmed in the mid 1960s when folk music had enormous popularity. This volume features the Stanley Brothers and Doc Watson. The Stanley Brothers were one of the great classic bluegrass groups. While Ralph Stanley has enjoyed newfound popularity following "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou", Carter Stanley died within a year of filming this show, and this is the only Stanley Brothers performance available on DVD. Doc Watson is one of the great guitar flat pickers and over the past 40 years has done much to expand the appeal of traditional Southern music.
