This particular class 4 trailer hitch boasts a gross trailer weight capacity of up to 10,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 1,000 lbs., giving it the raw towing power needed to tow most campers, boat trailers, car haulers and large utility trailers, as well as a winch mount or cargo carrier. Also, like many class 3 hitches, this class 4 hitch can be used in combination with a weight distribution hitch to increase its overall towing capacity. With a weight distribution system attached, the gross trailer weight capacity increases up to 12,000 lbs. and the tongue weight capacity up to 1,200 lbs.
