Walker is Joe Strummer's debut solo album recorded after his split from The Clash and before his formation of his subsequent group The Mescaleros. While initially composed as the soundtrack to the Alex Cox film, Strummer saw the album more as his first post-Clash solo release rather than just a soundtrack.
