These pocket hole screws from Kreg feature self-tapping tips and a fine thread pattern designed to eliminate splitting. They're ideal for a variety of tasks, including face-frame assembly. The pan head has a flat bearing surface that prevents run-through, plus a rectangular cross-section with a square-drive recess that is very resistant to stripping. Chrome/zinc finish resists corrosion. Heat treated. Uses a #2 square drive.
